Kids' quip of the day...

Edie - used to call Julie 'Gee', now it's 'Dulie'; then earlier, talking about a pair of pants that are slightly too big for her, she told me she's big enough to 'wehwit' :)

Kids' quip of the day...

Kids quip(s) of the day...

I have tried to send this one from my phone but it just wasn't working so here goes: Things the kids have said (and still say)...

Julie - Upies down
Edie - Ups and Down

Jordy - Fahllow Christmas
Edie - Father Mexwhiss

Names for my dad (Grampa)
Julie - Deepah
Jordy - (in a very soft whisper) Pa
Edie - Bhobho until 18m and then Bimpah graduating to Grimpa and now Grampa :)

My 10 month old boy

Kael 'turned' 10 months today and to celebrate, he stood for the first time by himself! He's such a strong boy - I am so proud of him. If I can use the others as a measuring stick, this means he should be walking in a little while - before he's 1 at least. YAY - my last born is starting to become even more independent. This excites me so much, knowing that this is the last time we'll have to reach this milestone. I have loved my babies and now I love that they are all growing so well. What more could a Mommy want? Congratulations my big boy!!

Oh and just so the other 3 don't feel left out, Julie was walking by 9 months, Jordy by 13m and Edie by 11m. ;)

Kids quip(s) of the day...

On the way back from church yesterday, Jordy was telling us about the picture he'd given to Aimee Young (his self-proclaimed wife-to-be) and said that he told her not to tell anyone in her family because then they'd know "she's inlove!" What a funny kid we have :D

SA's Got Talent...

We watched the re-run of the final SA's got talent over the weekend and it was interesting. I can't help but watch something like that and wonder if I should try out for it when it comes around again. When I was a child, I always used to say I was going to be a singer when I grew up and my childhood dream of doing that has resurfaced quite a few times over the years... I'll see what happens and maybe one day surprise myself.

Kids quip(s) of the day...

My dad came to visit - something that happens often  - and after switching his car off, it cools down, making quite a noise, about which Edie said -> "Grampa, your car is angry!"

Kids quip(s) of the day...

Julie -> one day after school: "Mom, did you know Miss Kraynauw was born in Afrikaans?"

Edie -> during our December holidays: "I'm standing in my TITTY toes, Mom!"

Jordy -> while talking about his upcoming (like in 5 weeks!) birthday this morning: "Maybe Sonya will give me a MAGNA-FINDING glass" :)
