Kael's Family Home Evening

Last night, as always on a Monday eve, we had Family Home Evening. In the recent past – about 10 - 12 weeks ago, Paul made a house using Power Point with each of our faces in the windows and we then move the assignments around each week (neither a foreign nor original idea, which is why so many of us ‘Mormons’ do it). First, Julie chose our opening song, Book of Mormon Stories and Kael thought this was the best song ever. He kept wanting to sing “Book of Mamma Stories” :) It happened to be Kael’s turn to do the lesson and Paul got to helping him when it was lesson time. He was teaching us about the creation and got to the second day where he was telling us all about the water / dry land and got a bit stuck on the water part – he added ‘water’ (said in a whisper at first, then quite strongly) into every other day of creation too. At one point, Kael got a bit quiet so Paul whispered in his ear, “Say it loud” And Kael blurted out, “Loud!”. The other kids were having such fun listening to Kael that it was a really cool and very fun FHE. Sometimes these things do work out and then we realize how awesome it is that we have these programs and guidelines set out for us to make our families happier and closer. How grateful I am for the Gospel!
